MEMBERS of a club for adults in Worcester with learning difficulties welcomed a very special guest to an Alice in Wonderland themed party.
Mayor of Worcester Cllr Alan Amos was invited to the party arranged by The Monday Night Club on April 13, where he mingled with Mad Hatters, white rabbits and giant playing cards.
The club, which meets weekly at Barbourne Ex-Services Club in The Moors, was set up four years ago by Laura Gill, who has learning difficulties and wanted somewhere to meet her friends.
“When I left college I lost all my social life and missed my friends,” she said. “I was at home every evening.
“I started The Monday Night Club so we could get together, make new friends and have some fun.”
