SUN, sweets and stalls were the ingredients for a "wonderful" fete at a Worcester school.
Riversides School in Thorneloe Road held its first fete on Saturday, and Worcester's Mayor, councillor Alan Amos, said he thinks the fete should become a regular feature in the school's annual calendar.
Cllr Amos, who was invited to open the fete, said: "It was absolutely fantastic. It was the first fete the school has had and it was brilliant, there was a bouncy castle, stalls, a barbecue, games and all kinds of entertainment for the children and their families.
"One pupil, Tom, was very kind and he acted as my guide, showing me around the school. I've invited Tom and his family to join me for tea in the mayor's parlour.
"It was great to learn about the school and its good reports, and the weather was very kind. I believe the school wants it to become a tradition, and I think that's a great idea."
