THE marketing and communications team at the organisation responsible for community and mental health services in Worcestershire has been nominated for a prestigious national award.

The team at Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust has been shortlisted in the Best Small In-House Team category at the UK Public Sector Communications Awards for its work keeping staff, patients, the press and people across the county informed about its latest news and developments.

The organisation also runs a number of awareness campaigns, with past ones on issues such as self-harm and dementia and is responsible for the trust’s website and social media accounts.

The trust’s director of business development Sue Harris welcomed the nomination.

“We are delighted that the team’s hard work and commitment to improving and developing the Trust’s communications service, both internally for our staff but also to our wider communities, has been recognised at a national level,” she said.

“We really strive to provide information to a wide range of stakeholders which is reliable and informative and which helps to maintain trust and confidence in the services we provide.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium on Thursday, July 9.
