A SUSPECTED drug dealer has been charged with a string of offences including possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply and dangerous driving following a police chase.
Stuart James, aged 36, of Bretforton, near Evesham, has been charged with eight offences after he was arrested following a police chase through roads around Evesham on Tuesday, June 30 which left a police car damaged.
Around £400 of drugs were seized. The suspect was charged today and appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court where the case will be sent to Worcester Crown Court.
He has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, disqualified driving, driving with no insurance, possession of heroin with intent to supply, possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply, a house burglary in Evesham on June 10 and fraud.
Officers from the South Worcestershire Command Team and the Operations Patrol Unit were involved in the arrest.
DS Stu Hawkeswood said: “We don’t ignore intelligence about drug dealing.”
