THE fastest runners from Worcestershire in the Morrisons Great Birmingham Run have been presented with their trophies.
Hundreds of fitness fanatics from the county took part in the high-profile half-marathon on Sunday, October 18 - and now the fastest man and woman have received their accolades.
Ian Radford, of Drovers Way, Worcester, was the first man home in one hour 19 minutes 32 seconds while Emily Seward, of Farm Close, Worcester, was the quickest woman in an impressive one hour 31 minutes 12 seconds.
Mr Radford, 35, said he was delighted to have run under one hour 20 minutes, especially considering the challenges of a tough course, and praised the event for a "great atmosphere".
Ms Seward, 41, said it was "absolutely amazing" to have claimed the title and put her success down to the support she has received from the Black Pear Joggers club.
