A RECOVERY operation is currently underway after a lorry carrying a locomotive crashed into roadworks on the M5 northbound near Droitwich.
The incident took place earlier this afternoon (Monday) between Junction 5 for Droitwich and Junction 4A for the M42.
No-one has been injured in the crash, however one lane is shut and Highways England estimates delays will continue until around 8.45pm.
Traffic is backed up from Junction 6 for Worcester to Junction 4A.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said one engine was at the scene from Droitwich.
The hard shoulder has also been closed.
