BOWBROOK House pupils welcomed back ‘old girl’ Miss Worcestershire contestant, Laura Morris recently.

Dedicated fundraiser Miss Morris spoke to students about campaigns she supports such as St Richard's Hospice and Help Georgie and inspired pupils to make a difference.

She also told pupils how she had gained valuable experience being involved with 'Miss Worcestershire' and used the opportunity to further her charity work.

The talk was particularly relevant for year 8 students who have been tasked with planning a fundraising event to support children the school sponsors in Malawi called Felix and Beatrice.

As part of the Miss Worcestershire competition, Laura was required to ‘capture the environment in an outfit’, a part of the competition which replaced the bikini round.

She drew on the expertise of her former art teacher, Jeannie Mellor, in order to create the dress, which now stands proudly on display in the entrance hall at Bowbrook House School.

All of the materials for the dress were kindly donated by patients at St Richard’s Hospice, and will be donated to St Richard’s in the near future.
