OOPS! Obviously distracted by the delights of the Pink Lady on his right, the driver of this mobile crane got himself in a right mess as he drove along Lowesmoor in Worcester in February 1968.
His erect jib became entangled with overhead lines and brought his vehicle to a summary halt.
Whereupon he had an embarrassed wait until a man with a ladder arrived to release him.
Incidentally, the photograph is a car spotter's dream. There's an Austin A30 (fondly known as the "district nurse's car"), a Ford Zephyr and could that be the rear view of a Ford Prefect up the road.
An Austin A50 hides in the alleyway.
