SHELTER building and fire lighting are amongst the skills students from a Worcester college have been learning with Really Rural Ltd at The Fold, Bransford.
New College Worcester, a College for students who are blind or partially sighted, took part in the bushcraft and conservation sessions with local expert Richard Clarke.
Skills demonstrated included building shelters, lighting fires, purifying water, carrying out conservation tasks and woodcrafts.
Richard Clarke, Instructor from Really Rural Ltd said: "The aim of the sessions is to give the students the opportunity to discover more about conservation and survival in the natural environment."
The students also made bug boxes to leave at The Fold Nature Trail and to take back to the college during the visit.
Caroline Gibbs, activities co-ordinator from New College Worcester, said: "Our students have really enjoyed themselves and the sessions have been a great success; the students are extremely proud of what they achieved."
