THE police have had a busy night, including seizing one car at Worcester after the driver lied about his address to get cheap insurance.
The Central Motorway Police Group stopped the driver just off junction 6 of the M5 at Worcester this morning.
The motorway police also stopped stolen transit van at an undisclosed location with the means of starting the van, a tibble key, still in the ignition (see photo, supplied by CMPG).
A spokesman for the CMPG said the tibble key had now been recovered by forensics for analysis.
Meanwhile the Worcestershire Operations Patrol Unit of West Mercia Police seized a car at Wythall for no insurance.
The Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service also responded to incidents overnight including a fire on the porch of a property in Market Square, extinguished by a crew from Bromyard (12.51am) and another at a garden shed in Church Street, Eckington (12.22am).
