LAURA Collins studied singing at Cambridge University, but then she discovered jazz, and now she's performing in Worcester.
Laura said: "I saw the light, threw off my cassock and began to take the path of jazz understanding."
She will take the stage for Severn Jazz, at The Portobello, on Friday, August 5, from 8pm.
A spokesman said: "Laura has been described as a sophisticated singer with style and wit.
"She now counts Ella Fitzgerald, Annie Ross and Norma Winstone among her influences. Completing her trio will be keyboard player Paul Sawtell and bassist Erika Lyons.
