COFFEE lovers enjoyed a special fundraising vintage tea party earlier this month.
The event, held at Bromyard Road Methodist Church, was organised by West Worcester Live at Home charity.
The service runs a range of weekly activities including lunch clubs, afternoon friendship groups, chair-based keep fit classes, and fortnightly escorted shopping trips - as well as organising special monthly outings and spiritual services at sheltered accommodation.
The volunteer-led service is part of the Methodist and Housing Association charity, which provides similar services across the country.
The latest event doubled as a fundraiser, and among those attending were the organisers, those who use the service, and other invited guests.
Members of Worcester Ukulele Club came along, and entertained the visitors with music from the stage at the church.
Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Paul Denham and Consort Lucinda Denham, also attended and enjoyed a cuppa, while supporting the fundraiser.
The service is always welcoming new members to benefit. To be eligible, applicants need to be aged 55 and over, and live at home.
