THE ambulance service has been inundated with calls to flood related incidents this morning.
Between 9am and 10, paramedics were called to more than 50 incidents, putting a strain on resources.
West Midlands Ambulance Service has urged people to only call if they are injured or suffering from an emergency medical problem which requires immediate attention.
Inappropriate calls could ultimately lead to resources not being available to deal with life-threatening injuries.
