CHILDREN from reception at Dines Green Primary School have explored the many different types of bread.

The children have been reading the story, The Little Red Hen, and talking about how bread is made.

They had a go at making their own bread and had a tasting session to find out more about different varieties.

Richard Lock, manager of Subway in St John's, agreed to help with the project and provided the school with all of the different types of breads available in store.

The children had a fantastic time sampling the different types of bread and the Italian cheese and herb one was a firm favourite.

Parents were also very generous, sending naan bread, seeded loaves, pitta, soda bread, croissants and many others for children to sample.
