A MAN has appeared in court charged with six charges of supplying class A drugs and having a knife in a public place.

Alan Spalding, of Arboretum Road in Worcester was charged with possession with intent to supply seven grammes of crack cocaine and seven grammes of heroin.

He was also charged with having a folding lock knife on Sansome Walk as well as possessing criminal property, namely £355.

He was arrested after plain clothed officers from the CID priorities team stopped a man outside the former Sansome Walk Swimming Pool at around 11.30am on Thursday and a house on Arboretum Road was searched.

A reported £2,000 worth of heroin and crack cocaine was found.

The 39-year-old also faces charges from Thursday, September 22 which include possession with intent to supply 1.38 grammes of crack cocaine and 2.01 grammes of heroin.

He was also charged with supplying cocaine and heroin as well as possessing criminal property of £300 and £1,805.

Spalding appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday.

No plea was entered and he was remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, March 13.
