A BIZARRE scene greeted a family when they returned to their car after shopping at a supermarket.

A creepy miniscule farmyard with animals glued onto sandpaper to form a perfect circle was left near the driver's side door.

Baffled Liam Andrews was left scratching his head and wondering whether it was left there as a joke - but is not sure what the punchline is.

Security staff at Morrisons, Roman Way, Malvern thought Mr Andrews was winding them up when he approached them with the farmyard.

The mystery drew the interest of other shoppers who crowded Mr Andrews to take a look at the eerie scene.

The 25-year-old from Great Malvern, who was shopping with wife Amanda and one-year-old daughter Felicity, said: "I have no idea why it was left there, it is the strangest thing that has ever occurred to me.

"I was in Morrisons for only 15 minutes with my wife and daughter.

"I put my daughter in the car, put the food in the boot then walked around to the driver's side of the car and I noticed a woman walking past looking at the floor puzzled.

"Then I saw it. They are all perfectly lined up and it looked like it had been placed there on purpose.

"It was definitely made by an adult, it had been glued down and they had used cable ties and sandpaper.

"It was bizarre."

He said he did not notice anyone hanging about and the same car was parked next to him as when he arrived in the car park on Monday at about 5.30pm.

"I went to the security guards expecting them to say it was kids but he thought I was winding him up.

"Lots of other shoppers kept coming up and wondering what it was - it caused big discussion.

"If someone knows why it was left I'd like to know."
