CHILDREN at Broadway First School kicked the month off in entertaining style as they performed their own May Day celebration.
The event, which took place on Broadway’s village green, saw Jack James and Kayley Smith crowned as this year’s May King and Queen.
Each class then performed a traditional country dance before the Year Fives danced around the maypole. Organiser and deputy head, Lee Poultney said: "A fantastic time was had by all.
"It was great to see so many parents and locals come and support the event and keep our rural traditions alive."
The May Day celebrations took place on Friday, May 5.
