PEOPLE in Worcestershire are being given the opportunity to delve into the past and find out more about our ancestors.
A workshop next week will help people identify archives containing thousands of Worcestershire’s residents from the past.
On Wednesday, June 7, the Finding People in the archives workshop will show people how to search for people within the county’s archives, which covers 900 years of history and 12 miles of shelves.
Paul Hudson, learning & outreach manager for Worcestershire Archive & Archaeology Service, said
“Our workshops have always been popular because it helps people get the most out of these great resources.
“We know that often people come looking for particular people or types of people, so we are running this workshop to show people what we have which could help and how to search.”
The workshop will run from 2-4pm at the Hive in Worcester, and will cost £6 to attend.
People can book online by visiting thehiveworcester.org/explore-the-past-events.
