EMERGENCY services were called out in Worcester last night after reports were received of someone in a canal.
The call came at about 8.30pm, to the canal bridge at Rainbow Hill, and the fire services sent out an appliance from Worcester, carrying a boat, with reinforcements called in from Malvern and Evesham.
The fire crews arrived to find that a member of the public had rescued a person from the canal. That person was subsequently treated by ambulance crews.
A second casualty on the canal bank was treated by medically-trained members of the fire crew.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
