A WORCESTER-based charity that supports and enhances the lives of people with learning disabilities has celebrated 10 years working in the community.

The Myriad Centre, based at St Georges Walk, celebrated the special milestone by organising a special garden party.

The party was well attended by the charity's patron, Lord Richard Faulkner, current and former trustees, parents, and relatives of those people the charity has supported.

Local people and representatives from organisations who have supported the charity during the past decade also attended including Droitwich Lions, Burford Trust, local church representatives including the Christadelphian and St Georges Church, and residents from Homenash house.

Peter Reynolds, a former trustee, opened the celebration with a brief history of the Myriad Centre and how it started.

Clients who originally attended The Myriad Centre, and still receive support, also attended the event.

Debra McDonald, business manager, said: "A good day was had by all with entertainment throughout the day which included two live music singers and the rock and roll puppet show.

"A buffet lunch and refreshments was also served and enjoyed by all."
