AN ambulance station is out of action because of the flooding.
The ambulance station on Southern Avenue, Leominster was under two feet of water and West Midlands Ambulance Service have said a considerable amount of damage has been done.
It is estimated that repairs will take up to six weeks.
In the meantime, Leominster Community Hospital have allowed WMAS to operate from their site in Hereford Road, Leominster and have provided a room with facilities for the ambulance crews to use - meaning there will be no delay in responding to emergencies in the area.
Debbie Small, Western Area Manager for the Ambulance Service said: "I would very much like to thank all the Ambulance staff who came in and helped with salvaging as much equipment as possible as the waters swept in. It is they too who are responsible for finding and setting up a room to use at the hospital and demonstrates the good working relationships our staff have with other NHS Trusts across our region."
