TWO Worcester brothers are set to take on a gruelling 138 mile charity trek from Salisbury to Shropshire.
Andrew Jesson and David Walker will be travelling from the Ministry of Defence base Boscombe Down to Shawbury, a village in Shropshire.
The lads, who are both from the St Peter's area of the city, are raising funds for the Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a military charity dedicated to supporting children who have lost a parent serving in the British Armed Forces.
Mr Walker, aged 34, a flight lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, said: "Scotty’s Little Soldiers is a very worth while charity.
He added: "They take children who have lost their parents to days out and activities - a colleague of mine mentioned it to me."
Mr Jesson has just completed a nursing degree at Worcester University.
The walk, which is called 'WalkingHome4Xmas' because it will take Mr Walker back to his Shropshire home, will start on Saturday, December 16 and is expected to be complete by Wednesday, December 20.
They will be joined by friends Tom and Laura Eeles.
So far the team has raised £1,210, smashing its £1,000 target.
