WORCESTER Warriors president Cecil Duckworth and scrum-half Jonny Arr were spreading the good will this week as they delivered over £500 worth of donations from a generous supporter to Acorns Children’s Hospice.
The fan, who did not wish to be named, had been saving up a chest of change along with a large piggy bank over the past 15 years, which has amounted to over £500.
The kind supporter decided to donate all the proceeds to the Bath Road charity, which cares for local life-limited and life-threatened children.
Arr visited the fan’s home to pick up the hefty chest of money before delivering and presenting it alongside Duckworth to Acorns on Friday (December 22).
“The box of money was ridiculously heavy and it’s amazing that they’ve been able to save so much change!” said Arr.
“We really do have some amazing, kind-hearted supporters and this money will go towards what is a fantastic cause.”
