BROMSGROVE Sporting have signed centre-half Dan Preston from Hereford FC on a a dual-registration deal.
Sporting boss Paul Smith said he has strengthened the Midland League Premier Division title chasers heading into a busy second half of the season.
He continued: “Dan is a no-nonsense, strong, dominant defender that has played at a very good level.
"He fits the bill perfectly. I must thank Pete Beadle (manager) at Hereford for helping me push the deal through.”
It is hoped Preston's signing will go through with the league in time to make him available for tomorrow's county derby at Stourport Swifts (3pm).
The 26-year-old was a young player at Birmingham City before going on to play for AFC Telford United and Tamworth among other clubs.
But Preston has only started six games for the Bulls after joining the Southern League Premier Division club in August.
Hereford will retain his registration and Preston will remain available for the city club as and when required.
