NOMINATIONS have already started pouring in for the Worcestershire Education Awards.
This year’s awards were officially launched in front of an audience of county leaders, dignitaries and business heads, at the University of Worcester Arena on Wednesday.
Past winners also came to the launch to lend their support for the awards, which aim to give recognition to those working or volunteering in education.
The awards, which are run in partnership with the University of Worcester, shine a well-deserved spotlight on those working tirelessly to inspire our children and young people.
That may be as childminders, teachers or training providers, or as volunteers, running community sports teams or leading scouting groups.
People working in educational roles within charities or businesses may also be eligible for one of our awards.
Michael Purton, acting Worcester News editor, said: “We are thrilled to see that nominations are starting to come in already.
“Reading about some of the amazing people who go that extra mile in education is truly inspiring.”
