PERSHORE High School students were recently challenged to take part in the Rotary Club’s Young Writers competition based on the theme of ‘A Different Perspective.’
Inspired, encouraged and supported by Worcester author, Kevin Brooke, the students produced some engaging and ambitious pieces which impressed the panel of judges.
Winners from all age groups were delighted to receive their awards from the chairman of Pershore Rotary Club.
Merrin Dewson was the winner of the senior competition with Lewis Webster as runner-up.
Celine Skidmore and Amy Edney both received Highly Commended Awards.
Chloe Munro won first place in the Intermediate competition with Alastair Cornock being runner-up.
The winning entries now go through to the area round of the competition.
