DESSERT lovers rejoiced in Worcester on Sunday, as Mr Tee King of Desserts returned to the city.

The entrepreneur, who sells ice cream and other desserts from a van, set up on Ravenmeadow, Droitwich Road.

He brought two vans so customers had a shorter wait and served treats until 10.30pm.

Soph Brown said: “Amazing - worth the wait.”

Kim Wood said: “My kids loved the ice cream.”

Abi Hempstock said: “Fair play to him he’s making a killing - my little girl enjoyed it.”

Angela Leaver said: “All day the queues have been like this.

So glad I got Mr Tee to visit us at Ravenmeadow. So now hopefully everyone in Worcester will know where Ravenmeadow is.”

But Karen Watkins said: “Not worth the wait in the freezing cold, but like everyone else it’s an experience to try it. I’m not saying it was horrible. I ate what I could of it, but it’s just whippy ice cream with what ever choice of topping or waffle that you choose. It is very good value for money. They must be making a fortune, so why they can’t afford to put a menu up on the van for when you get there is beyond me.

“As nice as Mr Tee was, it was just ice cream. If he came round the street like any other ice-cream van yes I would have one.

“But I won’t be standing in a queue again.”

Speaking before his arrival in Worcester, Mr Tee said: “After a long wait, today is the day that Mr T makes his second appearance in your great city.

“We will be bringing to you the finest sweets, treats, desserts and ice cream in the land.

“We will be bringing two vans to ensure that you are not waiting too long.”

Mr Tee King of Desserts, originally from Bolton, has been operating for three years and has over 98,000 likes on Facebook.

More than 2,000 people, some who queued for hours, turned out to buy sweet treats from social media phenomenon Mr Tee when he arrived last time in Droitwich.

The entrepreneur, real name Tee Smith, sells ice cream and other desserts from a van.

He appeared unannounced at the B&M store car park in Droitwich on Saturday, March 10 at 5.30pm, serving customers until 9pm.

He also came to Worcester about three weeks before the Droitwich visit and has appeared at various places across the Midlands, surprising locals by only letting them know the location 30 minutes before arriving.

Mr Smith said that the appeal of the business is the quality of the products and the “novelty experience.”
