THE clock is ticking to nominate the best teachers, most outstanding schools and brilliant community groups that Worcestershire has to offer.

The 2018 Worcestershire Education Awards, run by the Worcester News in partnership with the University of Worcester, shine a well-deserved spotlight on those working tirelessly to inspire our children and young people.

Hundreds of nominations have rolled in since the awards were launched at the University of Worcester Arena in January this year – and you only have until April 20 to get nominations in.

You can nominate childminders, teachers or training providers, volunteers, community sports teams or leading scouting groups.

People working in educational roles within charities or businesses may also be eligible for one of our awards.

This year’s awards follows the success of the inaugural Worcestershire Education Awards in 2017.

Our newest sponsor is Class People, which is backing the event table plan. The independent education recruitment specialist provides supply teachers, teaching assistants, tutors, SEN staff and early years practitioners to schools and settings across the South West.

Its Worcestershire branch is based in Bromsgrove and services the whole of the Worcestershire area including; Droitwich, Redditch, Evesham, Kidderminster, Pershore, Bewdley, Malvern , Stourport and surrounding areas.

This year, international giant Worcester Bosch is sponsoring the Community Involvement Award and Parallel Lines, is backing the keynote speaker, swimming champion Duncan Goodhew.
