NINE primary schools gathered on the netball courts at The King’s School, Worcester for the annual Primary Schools' Netball Tournament. Netball players from the King’s senior school came across the river to umpire the matches and coach the players, starting with warm-up sessions and then taking them through various drills to prepare them for their games.

The children eagerly made their way to the courts and took up their positions for their first game.

The whistles were blown and the schools leapt into action, displaying exceptional netball skills across the board.

The players had plenty of support from parents, teammates, teachers and the head of Worcestershire’s Netball Development Programme.

After a fun-packed, fast-paced tournament, congratulations go to the runners-up, Pitmaston Primary School and the winners, St George’s Catholic Primary School.

All the teams played extremely well and we look forward to welcoming them to King’s again next year. We wish them all every success for the summer netball season ahead.”

Schools taking part were: Cranham Primary School, Pitmaston Primary School, St George’s Catholic School, Stanley Road Primary School, St Joseph’s Primary School, Carnforth School, Red Hill Primary School, St Clement’s CE Primary School, St Barnabas CE Primary.
