DREAMS can come true, so they say, and The Popfest event at Worcestershire County Cricket Club might just be proof of that.

The event will take place on Saturday June 30 from noon to 11pm, with the aim of attracting “mature people; reliving their youth and being happy”, and one of the headline acts will be Miss Dreams Come True herself, otherwise known as Gabrielle.

A spokesman said: “Nine top ten hits in the 90s! The record-breaking, chart topping singer songwriter returns this summer with a new album, Under My Skin.

“Singer-songwriter Gabrielle saw her debut single ‘Dreams’ go to number one in 1993 and six years later ‘Rise’ went the same way.

Her nine top ten hits included a duet with another of the ‘Pop Fest’ artists in East 17 with ‘If You Ever’.”

Other headliners will include Louise Redknapp, who has has sold over 5 million records worldwide, and S Club, now known as S Club Three, will be reaching for the stars .

As its a Saturday Night, the Nineties legend from Denmark known as Whigfield will be up for it, and East 17 being there too, people will wish they could stay another day.

East 17’s debut album ‘Walthamstow’ was a number one and their mixture of pop and hip hop brought them 18 top 20 singles.

And then there’s the One and Only, Chesney Hawkes who reached number one in nine countries all over Europe and was a top ten hit in the USA.

Boyzlife will include Brian McFadden of Westlife, and Keith Duffy of Boyzone may well ask folks to love him for a reason, ‘No Matter What’.
