A DRUG addict faces another spell in prison after helping steal pot plants from Homebase.
Kristina Hinton, 33, was on a suspended sentence when she helped take the items from the store on Roman Way Retail Park, Droitwich, on April 19.
Collette Orton, prosecuting, said the defendant waited outside the store at around 2.40pm while two others went inside and took several pot plants, valuing £12, before handing Hinton some and taking them to the Westlands estate.
The defendant, of Shepherds Rise, Droitwich, is currently in prison for another offence, but is due out on June 22.
For another separate offence, the 33-year-old had been given a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, in October 2017.
Chris Aggrey, defending, said his client mistakenly believed that sentence had already been spent when the pot plant thefts were committed, as the offence it related to had been more than 12 months before.
Barbra Broadhurst, chair of the bench, committed Hinton to Worcester Crown Court for sentencing on July 5, both for the theft and suspended sentence breach.
