STUDENTS from the Regency High School in Worcester won a top prize at the BBC Gardeners' World Live show, held at the NEC in Birmingham.
The pupils worked closely with the Thrive project, a charity based at Kings Heath Park in Birmingham which offers therapeutic horticulture.
Their creation, named the Garden of Celebration, included a pond area as a quiet place to reflect,
a sensory path with lots of lavender and herbs and a tree to represent the support of the Thrive therapists and volunteers.
Judges awarded the garden a silver merit, and the prize for the best outdoor feature.
Head Sara Harding said: "We are so proud of our pupils and the amazing work that they do with the Thrive project.
"Pupils and staff have visited the project on a weekly basis since September and have worked through all weathers to learn the skills that have helped them to achieve this fantastic award at Gardeners' World Live. It is well deserved by all involved."
