Three people have appeared in court charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

This comes after four suspects and another man were arrested on suspicion of breaking into an Evesham house and assaulting four people with weapons.

Four suspects were released under investigation for aggravated burglary, however, three of them have been charged with a separate conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The fifth suspect was charged with aggravated burglary.

All four suspects charged were remanded in police custody and appeared in court on Monday where they were released on bail.

Weapons and drugs were seized after the incident last week on Tuesday July 3.

A tweet by South Worcestershire Priorities Team said: "On Tuesday 3rd, 5 males forced entry into an Evesham address and assaulted four persons with weapons.

"On Thursday 5th July, 5 persons were arrested by the team who were assisted by @SWorcsPoliceIOM colleagues. One of the persons arrested has been charged with aggravated burglary.

"The 4 other suspects have been released under investigation regarding the aggravated burglary however, 3 of the 5 suspects were arrested from a vehicle and were all charged with a separate conspiracy to supply class A offence. Various weapons were seized from the vehicle.

"All 4 suspects charged were remanded in police custody and appeared in court on Monday where they were released on strict bail conditions. Weapons and drugs seized from our streets.

"We will not tolerate this sort of violence and threat in South Worcestershire #OpBlade"
