The new Guildhall website at WorcesterGuildhall.co.uk contains a wealth of detail and information on the Grade I Listed building at the very heart of Worcester.

It also turns the spotlight on the Guildhall’s availability for events for residents, visitors and businesses – from weddings to conferences, and from concerts to boxing nights.

The site at also encourages people to come in and explore the 18th Century architectural building, discovering the many remarkable features inside – from the sinister holding cells where convicts awaited their sentence to the palatial Assembly Room, described by King George III as “a handsome gallery”.

The new website also includes many pictures capturing the Guildhall’s visual splendour.

Ben Schiffmann, Guildhall manager, said: “The Guildhall lies at the heart of Worcester, in the very centre of the High Street. It has always been a focus of life in our city and it’s been great to see its growing popularity as a wedding venue in recent years.

“Our new site aims to encourage even more use of this beautiful community building. The Guildhall is the ideal location for your business conference, fundraising event, marriage and many other events. And now you can find in one place everything you need to know about making the most of this historic location.”
