A REMOVALS team from Worcester braved a skydive in memory of a baby who died.
A seven-man team from Wychbold-based Warren’s Removals & Storage raised £1,710 for Libby Mae’s Little Angels, after skydiving from 13,000ft on Sunday August 5.
Owner Warren Leggett said: “It was one of the most insane things I’ve ever don. To do it with such an incredible group of lads made it all the more special.”
The jump took place at Hinton Skydive Centre and the team smashed their donation target of £1,000.
General Manager Luke Wilkinson said: ‘Libby Mae and her parents were the biggest inspirations for this skydive. Jumping out of a plane takes guts but what Libby Mae’s parents have achieved takes true bravery.”
The charity, Libby Mae’s Little Angels, was set up in memory of Libby Mae Sherratt, with the aim of raising funds to supply resources for neo-natal care in the Midlands.
Her parents set up the charity to help provide the necessary medical equipment needed to look after babies on neonatal units across the Midlands, in the hope that no other families have to go through what they endured.
Donations are still being accepted. See facebook.com/warrensremovals
The removals firm are now looking to plan their next charity event.
