WORCESTERSHIRE rail users are facing long delays after a tree was electrocuted and fell onto the tracks.
Delays started at about 11am after a tree came down on the line near University.
Rail users trying to get to Worcester, as well as Bromsgrove, Malvern and Ledbury are being diverted via Stourbridge.
Disruption and cancellations are expected to last until around 3pm today.
A West Midlands Railway spokesman said: "Because of damage to the overhead electric wires between Birmingham New Street and Redditch all lines are blocked.
"Train services between Birmingham New Street and Hereford via Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa may be revised.
"We've been told that because of damage to the overhead wires at University all lines are blocked. This is affecting trains in both directions."
