THREE men from Worcester stand accused of a robbery.

One defendant pleaded guilty and the other two denied the offence at a hearing before judge Jim Tindal at Worcester Crown Court yesterday.

Jonathan Shire, aged 27, of Mulberry Terrace, Worcester, admitted the robbery on July 24 this year. The robbery involved the theft of £10 in cash and some car keys.

His co-defendants, Darren Smith, aged 31, of Selsey Close, Worcester, and Paul Gill, aged 29, of Oldbury Road, Worcester, denied the offence. Although Smith did not appear his barrister indicated he would be pleading not guilty. The trial will be heard on January 2 next year.

Shire and Smith are in custody. Gill is on bail. One of the conditions is a daily curfew between the hours of 7pm and 6am.
