CELEBRATED Guitarist Remi Harris will return to the Artrix in Bromsgrove, this autumn, with a show that will be both acoustic and electric.

A spokesman said: “The show features Remi on a variety of acoustic and electric guitars accompanied by a hot club rhythm section of acoustic guitar and double bass, and it includes solo, duet and trio playing interspersed with Remi’s commentary about the history of the music and the guitars he plays.”

Remi likes to keep busy , performing all around the country, but he has also performed over the pond, including at the legendary Montreal Jazz Festival.

Fans flock to his concerns for virtuoso guitar based Gypsy Swing infused with influences from Jazz, Blues, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Funk and World Music, with repertoire from Django Reinhardt, Peter Green, Wes Montgomery, Jimi Hendrix and Charlie Parker to name a few.

The date for the diary is September 29, at 7.30pm.

September at The Artrix ends with a performance by the legendary Andy Fairweather Low, who returns to the main Auditorium on Sunday September 30 at 7.30pm.

The spokesman said: “Known for his work as he lead singer in Amen Corner and 60s hits such as Bend Me Shape Me and Hello Suzy, this performance at Artrix will also feature the Hi Riders Special Soul Review – an extended brass section and Hammond organ throughout the show.”

From being a heart-throb, Fairweather Low because a much-sought after session musician, adding his special touch as a guitarist to many well-known hits.
