ACCLAIMED singer and comedienne Liza Pulman will celebrates the legend of Barbra Streisand in a concert at The Regal in Evesham, this December.

The show, called appropriately enough,

Liza Pulman Sings Streisand, has already played to packed houses across the country, including two sell-out performances at Wilton’s Music Hall during the summer.

A spokesman said: “Liza is now touring, so fans get another fantastic chance to see her incredible talents live on stage as she squeezes history, warmth and humour into this truly world class show. While this is a homage to Barbra Streisand it is in no way a tribute act; Liza uses the songs of Streisand to illustrate stories from both her own life and Streisand’s life and the things that they have in common. The show is full of humour and showbiz glamour that shows Liza Pulman’s talents as a singer and comedian off to the very best.

“Alongside her musical director Joseph Atkins, Liza bewitches audiences with sheer vocal virtuosity and emotional expression, bringing not only her exceptional voice and compelling storytelling, but her own personal slant on Streisand’s life and music.

“This is a must see for music lovers and Streisand fans everywhere.”

The spokesman added: “Liza Pulman is the daughter of famous screenwriter Jack Pulman (I Claudius / War and Peace) and actress Barbara Young (Last Of The Summer Wine / Coronation Street), which meant she grew up amid the glitz and glamour of the world of show business.

“She developed a huge interest and appreciation for the movies and music of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s and from an early age she performed with her sister as a close harmony duo called The Pulman Sisters in the foyers of The National Theatre and the Royal Festival Hall.”

In 2004 Liza joined the internationally renowned comedy trio Fascinating Aida and remains a member to this day and they have performed at venues across the UK.
