A LARGE amount of hedge cuttings have been dumped in a rural lane near Crowle.
The fly-tipping was discovered in Bredicot Lane, off Pershore Lane near Spetchley, between the Crowle roundabout and Spetchley roundabout, by resident Bill Mapp.
Mr Mapp said that this is the second occasion that rubbish has been dumped in the lane in the last few weeks, and the earlier fly tipping has still not been removed, despite his having reported it to Wychavon District Council.
Sharon Casswell, client services manager for Wychavon said: “Flytipping is a blight on our countryside and costs the taxpayer thousands each year. We have cleared the original flytip and are now aware of further issues which will be tackled ASAP.
"Specialist equipment is required for this work which is why it has taken a bit longer than usual. Anyone wishing to report flytipping can do so on our website or by calling 01386 565000.”
