A BODY has been found in the search for missing student Tom Jones.
A West Mercia Police spokesman said: "Sadly, officers searching for missing 18-year-old Thomas Jones have recovered a body from the River Severn in Worcester today (Friday 28 September).
"Thomas' next of kin have been informed but as formal identification has not yet taken place, no further details can be released at this time."
Police cordoned off an area around the river near Browns at the Quay and Worcestershire County Cricket Club in Worcester earlier this afternoon.
Emergency services are at the scene, in Quay Street and in New Road near the cricket club.
Search and Rescue boats can be seen at the riverside and West Midlands Ambulance Service and West Mercia Police vehicles are parked nearby.
