A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a man near a block of toilets in Evesham.

The 17-year-old boy from Rainham, Essex, is currently on police bail after being arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and making threats to kill.

The victim, who is in his 30s, is now out of hospital after being airlifted to hospital in a critical condition on Monday, September 10.

He was attacked near the Workman Gardens, at the junction of Port Street, Waterside and Bridge in Evesham, at about 11.17am.

Police cordoned off part of Waterside, Evesham, as well as a section of Workman Gardens and a driveway leading to a social club on the opposite side of the road.

A forensics team could be seen working around Workman Gardens and the toilets, where a number of items including a hat, blankets or a coat could be seen labelled as evidence.

A least half a dozen police cars, including a forensics team, were at the scene.

Businesses in the nearby vicinity were asked to review any CCTV to help the police investigation.

Police said "enquiries are ongoing" and anyone with information can contact them on 101, quoting incident number 182s.
