A CARING charity is raising awareness in a unique way

The Mayor of Worcester, Cllr Jabba Riaz and Andrea Morgan Chairman of Malvern Hills District Council showed their support by visiting the telephone kiosk in Powick which has been adopted by the Crossroads Caring for Carers Charity.

Helen Simmons (Care Manager) told the Worcester News that Crossroads are planning to use the kiosk as an information point to raise awareness of the work the Charity does and to recruit more paid or volunteer care staff who will not only support people with care needs but also their family- based carer(s) to have a well-earned break.

Ms Simmons said: “The Mayor and Chairman are our first visitors and we are very grateful for their support.”

She added “Coincidentally the telephone box is situated on a crossroads. As your readers may remember our history is based on a story line from Crossroads Motel."

Crossroads Motel was a popular television programme in the 1970s.
