A commemorative concert to mark the end of the First World War will come to Worcester's Huntingdon Hall this Sunday (October 7).

The concert, called Lest We Forget, has been arranged by Worcester Live, in association with the Elgar School of Music, Worcester Concert Club and composer Ian Venables.

A spokesman said: "This celebrity song recital has been devised to mark the centenary of the end of WW1. Featuring some of Britain’s best loved songs by Vaughan Williams, Butterworth, Gurney and Finzi, the concert will also include a performance of Ian Venables’ powerful and moving song cycle Through These Pale Cold Days, which was commissioned by the Limoges Trust for the City of Worcester.

"This work was premiered in 2016 and is dedicated to the memory of the Worcestershire Regiment and the Old Boys of the Royal Grammar School, Worcester."

The concert will start at 3pm.
