THEATRE-goers in Worcester are in for a treat: a chance to win two free tickets to WODS production of Monty Python’s Spamalot!

The society has decorated 15 stones with images and text from the show, with details written on the back, and hidden them around Worcester. One of these ornate stones entitles whoever finds it to two free tickets to opening night, Tuesday October 16 October at the Swan Theatre!

A WODS spokesman said: “The competition was inspired by the Facebook group, Worcestershire: Love on the Rocks, who paint imaginative images on stones for eagle-eyed members of the public to find. “The artwork on these particular stones was the handy work of cast member Kate Staiger who had both the brilliant idea and the talent to decorate the stones so well.”

The lucky stone has a phone number on the underside that the winner can call to claim their tickets.

The spokesman added: “The only question is, where has the lucky stone been hidden?”

Spamalot retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table.

The spokesman said: “It is a riotous feel-good comedy full of misfit knights, a beautiful Lady of the Lake, a bevy of high kicking showgirls, killer rabbits, dancing nuns and ferocious farting Frenchmen.

“Join King Arthur as he travels with his hapless Knights of the Round Table on a divine mission to locate the illusive Holy Grail – with uproarious consequences.”

The spokesman added: “Written by Python legend Eric Idle, with a fantastic score co-written by John DuPrez, and including the classic Always Look on the Bright Side of Life, Spamalot will have you rolling in the aisles.”

The run at The Swan is from October 16 to October 20.
