EXPLORERS who love golf can now complete a new jungle and safari themed adventure course at Ravenmeadow Golf Centre, in Claines.

Jungle Safari Adventure Golf opened last weekend challenging mini-golf fans to take on the 18-hole course and it is thought to be the largest outdoor adventure golf course in the Midlands.

The family-friendly activity in Hindlip Lane offers lots of obstacles with a ‘plane crash site’, waterfall, Buddha and a range animal encounters including a zebra, panda, elephant, crocodile and gorillas.

Owner Angela Leaver said: "We feel this is another way we can give the community of Worcester and surrounding counties, an awesome outdoor experience that can be played in all-weathers and by all.

“We are totally delighted with the outcome and it’s apparent from the feedback so are our customers and members. Local responses over this last week has been so encouraging and very overwhelming with customers thanking us for at last putting something different in place for everyone to use.

"I believe it is the largest outdoor adventure golf course in the Midlands. A real tourist attraction too. "

She added: "We are a family run business and it was very important to us to use local contractors, from start to finish. "

The golf course, the newest feature at Ravenmeadow Golf Centre, is open Monday to Sunday, 9am until dark. It is closed on Christmas Day.

Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult and there should be no more than five people in a group.

The whole group should tee off before a second shot is made and there is a maximum of seven puts per hole.

Players who are stuck can move the ball one putter head from the obstacle with no penalty.

There is bar and cafe facilities available on site.
