READERS have been showing their appreciation for our top teachers in the city.

In celebration of World Teachers' Day on Friday, parents took to the Worcester News Facebook page to praise them.

Amongst those mentioned were Alexander Hobson, Maisie Chambers, Harriet Worthington, from Oasis Academy Warndon, Lucy Taylor and Sue Bates from Dines Green Primary School, Susan Turner from Cranham Primary School and Emma Davies from Upton-upon-Severn CE Primary School.

Posting on our page, Caz Alldrett said: "Miss Taylor from Dines Green School, she is one amazing teacher -the best one I’ve ever met.

She added: "She's helped my son so much she’s been his rock through all those tough times. She deserves a medal bless her."

Nicki Allies said: "Mr Hobson from Oasis Academy Warndon. My son has been in his class since September my son struggles with what comes natural to some children and he has built a fabulous relationship with him has totally transformed his school behaviour etc.

"My sons words are I can’t let Mr Hobson down. A small amount of belief and time goes a long way."

Claire Ford added: "Sue Bates Dines Green Primary School. My son has had the pleasure of having her from Year 1 through to Year 2 she goes above and beyond."
