ONE of the country’s original markets celebrates its 20th year anniversary.
Teme Valley Market was introduced at The Talbot, Knightwick, in Malvern Hills, in October, 1998 and is believed to be the second oldest farmer’s market in the country.
It was owned by Jean Clift with help from her daughters, Annie and Wizz, having taken inspiration from the Slow Food Movement, which is an organisation that promotes local food and traditional cooking.
The Teme Valley Market’s main principle is to encourage people nearby to make good quality products to be able to sell their produce to local people.
Every second Sunday of the month there is a market between 11am to 1.30pm at The Talbot.
For more information on the market, visit their Facebook and Twitter page or sign up to the monthly newsletter at temevalleymarket@gmail.com
