A LUCKY visitor to Croome Court near Worcester had the chance to have her portrait painted.

Linda Price, visiting from Warwick, had her name drawn to have her portrait painted by local artist Antony Bridge’s to become part of his exhibition currently on show at the National Trust property.

The ‘Women of Croome’ exhibition of nine portraits of female staff and volunteers from Croome with Linda now becoming the final, 10th portrait.

“I was delighted to call the winner and so pleased such a caring, lovely lady has won the competition, this care in her eyes will hopefully shine through in the portrait when completed", said artist, Antony Bridge.

The lucky winner, who is retired having worked in the voluntary sector, said she was "thrilled" when she had heard she had won.

Mr Bridge is Croome’s official artist-in-residence and his exhibition coincides with the National Trust’s year of Women and Power programme, celebrating 100 years since some women were given the vote.

Visitors can see the ‘Women and Power’ exhibition until January 2019.
