FOUR people were injured when a lorry and minibus collided this morning.

A man, believed to be in his 20s, was thrown from the front passenger seat of the minibus when the incident occurred on the A46 Evesham Bypass, Evesham, just after 7.30am this morning.

Suffering from serious head and neck injuries, he was stabilised at the scene, immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar and taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

West Midlands Ambulance Service received a number of calls about the collision and two ambulances attended the scene.

A spokesman for the service said: "A second man, believed to be in his 60s and the driver of the minibus, suffered neck and back injuries in the accident and was treated at the scene.

"He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board and transferred to the Royal for further assessment and treatment."

Two further men, both believed to be in their 20s and passengers in the back of the minibus suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.
